Best momos I’ve had since I was in Nepal. Amazing food and beautiful decor.

Yummy lunch buffet if you are into Indian/Nepali food! Great place to introduce a friend to the cuisine as well. The buffet has wonderful gluten free options - most of the batter they cook with is gluten free on the buffet. I used to come here for lunch like ALL the time when I had an office in Asheville - but make it a frequent stop when I am in the city for business or visiting friends. I LOVE the vibe here too - decor is ABFAB and the staff are friendly. It's a peaceful escape from the outside world to enjoy a pleasant meal around lovely surroundings.

Food is good here, but it took a little long time for momo. so If you are ordering momo, please order some appetizer for your hungry stomach.

What a little gem. Absolutely loved the decor and set up. Ambient music and lighting set the tone for my dinner. I was a bit taken back on how sparse it was inside though. For a second, I thought they were closed. No customers, just me. Other Restaurants were thumping. 15 minutes later 2 more people showed up. There were however people popping in for a look at the menu. Most restaurants post one outside for people to look at. Maybe that would bring more foot traffic inside?? I however just took a chance and enjoyed my meal. Delicious. - Namaste

Small restaurant, great tasty food. Only suggestion is to improve the lighting. Everything else was nice and welcoming.

Food was really yummy, loved the smooth and complex spice profiles. Most of all, I loved the Nepalese rice with cloves for desert yumm!

Convenient hours and DELICIOUS food! The atmosphere in this space is warm and bright. Really appreciated the variety of different unique nonalcoholic beverages there was to offer. The sauces were exquisite, the bread fresh, and the portions to be abundant. Walk right into India in the center of downtown Asheville!

This place is a hidden gem in downtown. The food is always on point. The staff has been incredible each visit. There are food options for everyone. The setting is quiet and calm which can make for great break from a busy day shopping. 5 stars!

Mind-blown by the superb taste of the food here - Taken aback by how genuine the food tasted. Made me remember my couple of trips to Nepal!

Love their lunch buffet. So plentiful and great variety. Warning they are now closed on Tuesday’s. We drove there especially for their buffet and were disappointed to find them closed. But we will be back!

Best brunch in town! Don’t use processed salt in their food; only Himalayan pink salt. Pretty nifty.

Needs some improvement over momos. With bbq flavor, the noodles was deliciois though. Cocktails were fine too.

I tried the lunch buffet. Not bad for vegetarians, not sure if vegans would find much. Check out the dinner menu! Food was definitely a reason to return.

Revisited for their lunch buffet, it was pretty good. If you're looking for a more vegan friendly assortment then I think this would be a good place for you, I was hoping for more variety of meat curries but overall it was good. The atmosphere makes you feel in another country.

Authentic Nepalese cuisine and great ambiance.

On a block with an amazing multitude of ethnic restaurants to choose from, the sandwich board out front caught my interest and brought me in. Came in to enjoy the buffet and found a diverse mix of vegetarian and meat dishes. Great taste, fantastic flavors and responsive service constantly topping off my copper water class. Really a great choice.

Great experience. Paneer pakora was very good. Hubby said the chicken tandoori was excellent. I had the sauce it comes with and it was sooooo good. The garlic bread was excellent. The veggie dumplings we're good.Nice atmosphere. Staff was very attentive.No outside seating.

Great atmosphere. Impressive decor, and the music is well curated. Food is fantastic and the house drinks are all done well.

Kathmandu has become my favorite Indian restaurant. They get the balance of spices just right. I love Indian food but sometimes find it too aggressive or pungent, but somehow the spices here are extremely flavorful yet gentle. I have so many favorite dishes from the curries of course to the chili mushrooms, momos and even the daal soup. Their chai is the best in town—authentic, creamy, smooth and balanced. Service is outstanding. The owners are very welcoming and do their absolute best to accommodate customers. I love the peaceful atmosphere with Nepali hand-carved woodwork. What a gem in Asheville!

Coming from Charlotte, I waited to try this place for 5 years (we always postponed to try other places). As a big fan of Indian food, naturally I wanted to try Nepalese. Today I had my opportunity. The vibe inside is really cool: neat wooden trellis and colorful flags. The service is friendly. And I even thought the food was tasty and interesting. Then, as I went to pay for my meal, I noticed their current 85 health score and all of that went out the window. I can’t find it in my heart to award 5 stars to a place that has that low of care for sanitation. Shame on me for not doing more research.

Great food, good service

Decent at best. Most things lacking in spice, and not actually any Tibetan items on the menu (except for Momo's, which are labeled as Nepali even though it could go either way.) Mostly Indian dishes.
